In April of 2008, Liz collaborated with poet Matthew Hittinger and composer Matt Sargent for a video art/live performance piece as part of the Hartford Sound Alliance, titled, The Heart Strobed Superimposed.
Liz has presented academic papers on music in film and gender and trauma representation on screen. She participated in the Annual Student Media Conference at NYU in 2007 and 2008. In the spring of 2008, she presented a work on issues of masculinity in avant-garde film and 90s
Liz’s articles on film literature and experimental film and video have also appeared in Film International.
Liz received her B.A. in Music and Communication Studies, and a minor in Political Science from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where she studied classical, jazz, and world music at the conservatory. She continues indulging her passion for music with the
Liz also played vibraphone on guitarist Ryan Wurtz’s solo album to be released in late 2008.
Liz’s vision is to fuel her passion for both music and film into collaborative projects which merge live improvisational music, video, poetry, and the fine arts. She is currently working on a show to take place in
