Liz Stephens collaborated with composer Matt Sargent and poet Matthew Hittinger on the experimental film/video work, The Heart Strobed Superimposed. The film explores time, location, and memory using images from the Kansas plains, the Palace of Versailles, a French marketplace, and aerial shots of Bimini Island in the Bahamas. Liz was the curator of experimental film as well as one of the judges for the 2008 Brooklyn International Film Festival.
